This was the original site of the annual Blois ULM event which outgrew Onzaine and was moved to the main Blois airfield at le Brueil.

Many people visiting the show still prefer to camp here and then fly into Le Breuil. There is an extensive camp site and permanent chalets etc can be hired. - see the Airfield/Camp site link below. The restaurant facilities on the site are an additional benefit.



Anyone planning a visit needs to make sure that the airstrip is open, as there have been times when it hasn't been cut. A simple telephone call should suffice.

 

2013:  With regard to the 2013 ULM event at Blois it has been reported that camping next to the aircraft has been severely curtailed and it was very difficult to rent a chalet.  This may signal an end to the role of Onzaine as an alternative camping site to the main event at Blois le Breuil.  Care is therefore recommended in the future.
