Ceske Budjovice LKCS

A former military airfield, which is so huge, you can see it from over 10 nautical miles away.

The lady in the tower had a voice and radio manner that made me want to marry her.

Nothing was too much trouble and I cannot rate this place highly enough.

They even put our planes away in blast proof hangers.

Near to the town, which is wonderful, and has a quite a few hotels. The Dubrovnick we stayed in had huge, but in need of modernisation, rooms, but was good value for money.

The town is famous of course for its brewery, and the tours are interesting and worth a go. There are a lot of good eateries and a day can be spent site seeing. About an hour to an hour away by very cheap bus is a very, and I mean very picturesque world heritage village/town Ceske Krumlov which is well worth a visit.   Details here: http://www.ckrumlov.info/docs/en/kaktualita.xml

Again a reasonably priced and recommended place to go!
