Etrepagny LFFY

Called in at this small private airfield when returning from the south of France and encountered bad weather. The airfield is directly en route between Chartres and Abbeville but there is very little reason to visit. There is a fairly active aero club there and the people were friendly. We asked rather vaguely about fuel, as we had not intended to stop there, but it was made clear that this was really for members only. I think we could have bought some if we had been in real need though. 



We did learn that when an airfield is designated "private" it can, as in the case here, mean that general arrivals are not encouraged because of potentially difficult approach features etc which could cause insurance to be an issue in the event of a mishap.
