We needed special permission from the District to land at Eu Mers, and the intention was to walk into the nearby town, only a short distance away. However, when we landed we realised that the airfield perimeters were occupied by hundreds of gypsies​. Lots of gypsy children came running over and we decided that it would be better to depart. There are home based aircraft there in hangars but we saw no sign of any pilots or airfield people.



The strip, with a tarmac runway, is very well maintained and you will pass close by on the way to Dieppe.
