Geville LF5551

This microlight airfield evolved from a hang glider launch site, and is located on the edge of a plateau. This makes for interesting landings with a W wind, as I found out when landing my Zenair CH601UL on the then 150m RWY 28.

"Ils sont fous ces anglais" was probably the most polite comment from the local pilots who came out of the hangar and clubhouse to see the idiot who landed on the runway only used by flexwings.

Actually, we received a very warm welcome, as is usual when G reg aircraft visit the smaller French microlight sites.
