Jerez LEJR

Jerez, LEJR, is a regional airport in Southern Spain.  This was a stop off on the way to Portugal from Granada.

The arrival was very efficient and fuel was provided without a delay.

The problems started when we went to book in.  The ATC were upstairs in the passenger terminal and we were confronted by an officious lady air traffic officer who complained that we had not filed a flight plan.  After some judicious grovelling and apologising she eventually mellowed.

Food was available in the passenger lounge and the next problem arose when we tried to get back to the aircraft.  Security was very tight and it took an hour to get through.

The landing fee was moderate but I believe that they may have increased since our visit.  (RWO 13.7.10)
