Laon Chambry LFAF

Laon Chambry is a grass airfield a few kilometres outside Laon.  Fuel was available by paying cash to the resident flying instructor who then used the school credit card at the pump.  Laon is a walled town on top of a hill crowned by a Gothic cathedral.  The main tourist area is on top of the hill and the “Stansted Shuttle” type railway to the top is highly recommended saving a long slog up the steps.  Hotels are available in the station area.
