Le Havre Octeville LFOH
We called into the airport when flying along the north French coast, arriving just after lunch. Although a large and apparently commercial airport, there was very little going on. We could not find anywhere to eat actually open and as we were not planning to stay in Le Havre overnight we departed with very little knowledge of the airport.
Care needs to be exercised in the le Havre area as there are various controlled or restricted areas, notably one around the nuclear power station upstream of the two main bridges over the River Seine and another which appears to be focussed on le Havre's industrial areas. The last bridge, Le Pont du Normandie, is spectacular and can be seen from a long way off.
