Lugo Rosas LERO

Lugo Rosas, LERO, was an overnight stop in Northern Spain.  The airfield is about 10nm NE of the town of Lugo.

There was an eclectic mix of aircraft based there, from Dromedar water bombers to a Mash helicopter!

We received a friendly greeting and there was a small flying club there able to provide drinks.  Fuel was also readily available.

In the event we actually stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel Mendez Nunez due to bad weather.  the town of Braga is a World Heritage site and the old town has a complete surrounding wall.  It is clearly a good tourist centre. There were some interesting modern sculptures in the town centre.   (RWO 15.7.10)..
