Two WFAeC aircraft made a diversion to this airfield in fast deteriorating weather. Our initial call for landing information received a negative response, because microlights were not "normally" allowed. On insisting that this was a WX diversion, in spite of AFIS being FR only, the man in the tower came back with the information in perfect English.

We must have looked a bit shaken, because he then proceeded to serve us coffee and make us feel most welcome while we waited for the weather to improve enough to continue our journey.



It turned out that microlights are only allowed outside the AFIS hours Mon to Fri and on weekends and holidays.
