Morestel is a quiet airfield with a single grass strip in SE France within easy reach of many of the alti-ports in the region.

There were no landing or overnight parking charges and by phoning ahead to the flying club fuel was available for cash payment on arrival.

The airfield radio is A/A French but there were few people at the airfield on the (Aug 2012) weekend I arrived, and I saw no French aircraft fly during my overnight visit.  I would recommend arriving with local taxi numbers already stored in your phone if you need a taxi to get to your hotel, because there might be no one around to assist you.

I can recommend staying at the Hotel France in the town (but under NO circumstances would I advise anyone to stay at the Servhotel... you have been warned!)
