A fairly busy airfield in the “Mulhouse Gap” – the flattish land between the Ardennes and higher ground to the south which serves as an entry/exit point to and from Germany/France. The circuits side of the airfield is very wooded and well known for a lot of turbulence. We stopped only for fuel and rather than search out the AvGas pump operator the local ULM instructor insisted on a fuel run to the local petrol station with jerrycans..

No knowledge of the town or hinterland as we only stopped for fuel and to close our flight plans out of Germany. Pronounced “mulooze” by the way: August 2013
