Vega

Vega is a ULM site North of Granada, not to be confused with Granada Cogollos Vega shown on the Jeppesen chart. 

 

It has a very short runway and when we were there was hot and high.  There are no facilities at the strip but a local was persuaded to take a trailed tank to the nearest garage to obtain Mogas for us. 

 

We had to walk some distance to pick up taxis for the trip into Granada where we stayed at the Hotel Andalucia, very comfortable and central to the town.  In July it was incredibly hot, not going below the mid 40’s. 

 

The Alhambra was well worth the visit and we spent the afternoon and evening sightseeing.  (RWO 12.7.10)
