Kitzebur was definitely worth a visit, not least because it added another country to the logbook.

 

Unfortunately Kitzebur closed and Aeroplume, the local flying club, were forced to relocate to Zoufftgen LF5755 in France after their landlord gave notice and ploughed up the runway - see this Luxembourg news article.

Situated about a mile from Larochette (see link below) from where you can get a bus into Luxembourg City in about an hour.



I can recommend the Hotel de la Poste, whose owner will ferry guests to and from the airfield.
